what a better way to spend a morning than having a scooter at southbank.  This is definitely a family favourite outing.

for the parents to come into the prep classroom was given.  Annie talked about this morning for days and was so excited that Mummy could come and play with her in HER classroom.  The morning started with devotions followed by a special song sang by the class.  After some formalities, it was time to play.

Mama's 70th birthday

Mama turned 70 this year so the family put on a High Tea to celebrate this mementos occasion.  So on the beautiful deck at Aunty Karen and Uncle Steve's house we had some special nibblies and cake.

Mama celebrated her 70th birthday this year so to mark this memorable occasion the gift idea was to get a new photo of the grandkids on canvas from each family.  Easier said then done when we are the only family with FOUR children.  So after 150 photos we ended up with ONE photo that I was happy enough to print.

You may notice that BJ was in two different coloured shirts.  This was due to Mummy giving the kids a break from having their photo taken.  So while the kids watched some TV BJ decided to suck on his blue shirt.  Therefore, BJ needed a wardrobe change! Towards the end of the photo shoot Lucy was really starting to lose her patience so she would up and leave.  This really drove the kids nuts!  They knew Mummy was not going to stop until we had a decent photo for Mama's wall.

The day had finally arrived OFFICIALLY!  Annie was so excited to be getting more presents and more cake!!

No birthday is complete without the traditional birthday cakes for school.  This year Annie chose to have domino cupcakes.

Annie felt very special on her birthday at school.  She was able to have Mummy and Lucy stay for morning tea and share in her very special birthday celebrations.  Annie was also the class helper for the day too.  After school Annie and her friend over for a play to help finish off the birthday celebrations.

Annie's 5th birthday

I can hardly believe that my baby girl is 5 already.  I so clearly remember the day she entered the world and straight into my heart.  Well Annie's birthday was celebrated over two days.  Annie had her birthday dinner on the night before her birthday because Daddy had uni on the night of her birthday which means we do no have enough time to have a proper birthday dinner.  Annie chose to have homemade pizza for dinner followed by a homemade ice cream cake for dessert.

Annie took a while to get to sleep as she knew it was her actual birthday to next day!

Annie the gymnast

Annie has started gymnastics and absolutely loves it.  Mummy thought Annie would have chosen ballet to learn but Annie changed her mind at the last minute.  Every week Annie looks forward to her gymnastics lesson because she gets to do lots of fun stuff like:  the balance beam (Annie's favourite), the uneven bars, the vault, the parallel bars .....  and lots more.
