Annie's 1st gymnastic competition

Annie was learning gymnastic last year so she was able to compete in a fun beginners comp.  Annie really enjoyed herself but was not in a rush to compete again as she is NOT a competitive person and found the experience quite nerve wrecking.

At the end of the day all children were presented with a cerificate and a ribbon.

Disney On Ice

For Annie's birthday she received a ticket for Disney On Ice, so we may a girls day of it.  The girls absolutely loved watched the dancing and were mesmorised from start to finish.  I don't know what they loved more, the Cars characters driving on the ice or Tinkerbell ice dancing.  It was such a great day with lots of happy memories.  The girls also came home with a special Tinkerbell cup thanks to Noonie.

party time

Annie was allowed a party this year and she chose a CRAFT party.  Why oh why I kept asking Annie as she knows Mummy does not do craft!!  Anyway  I was able to pull a few things together and fun was had by all, especially the birthday girl.  Annie and her 6 friends had fun painting their own pillow case, making their own headband, decorating their own cupcake (which became part of the birthday cake) and some bead thing creation.  All girls went home with smiles on their faces, their own special bag and all their creations.

baby girl turns 6

Wow my first born girl is 6!!  How time flies when you are having fun.  I can actually recall when I found out I was pregnant with you.  It was in the middle of  one night when Mummy had to go the toilet!!  This only happens when I am pregnant.  I just knew that was a sign that I was pregnant and to be honest I knew you were a girl from that very first moment.  I don't know why I had that feeling but I did.  I also went into a state of shock because Benjamin was only 6 months old and Matthew had only just turned 2 and I didn't know if I was ready for another baby.  The next morning I remember telling Daddy and he was excited as his attitude was 'more the merrier'.  So I went to the doctors to check it out and Yep! I was pregnant.  It happened to be Noonies birthday, 10th July, so I put a little jelly bean on the card after Matthew and Benjamin's names to give her a clue and she picked up on the code straight away and was over the moon!!  My pregnancy was a little up and down.  I remember feeling unwell all day, tired all day and smelt every thing in a 30 metre radius!  But I wouldn't change a thing.  We are all so blessed to have you in our lives and my world is alot brighter every day because of you.  Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

swim and a chat

These two girls adore each other.  EVERY night we find them sleeping together in the same bed, they play together so beautifully and they are never too far from each others side.  So when I saw them swimming together my heart just blossomed with the love I see between them.

painting

Annie and Lucy

The girls love to bake but more than that they love to decorate.  So Annie asked if we could make the 'painting biscuits'.  This is when you make the dough, roll it out, cut out your shapes and then paint them BEFORE you bake them.  These biscuits are delicious and a lot of fun to make!!

the first one is GONE!!

I can not believe that my little girls tooth has fallen out.  The tooth fairy has visited our family quite a few times this year with both boys and now Annie loosing teeth.  Annie was so excited that her first tooth has fallen out and she is waiting so patiently for the next tooth to fall out too.  I think it will be any day now!!  It also seems that the tooth fairy is VERY busy at the moment because she was not able to take Annie's tooth the first night so Annie had to wait patiently for the tooth fairy to come the next night.  I think the tooth fairy gave her a little extra for all that waiting!!!

a very special invitation.....

for the parents to come into the prep classroom was given.  Annie talked about this morning for days and was so excited that Mummy could come and play with her in HER classroom.  The morning started with devotions followed by a special song sang by the class.  After some formalities, it was time to play.

birthday girl at school

The day had finally arrived OFFICIALLY!  Annie was so excited to be getting more presents and more cake!!

No birthday is complete without the traditional birthday cakes for school.  This year Annie chose to have domino cupcakes.

Annie felt very special on her birthday at school.  She was able to have Mummy and Lucy stay for morning tea and share in her very special birthday celebrations.  Annie was also the class helper for the day too.  After school Annie and her friend over for a play to help finish off the birthday celebrations.

Annie's 5th birthday

I can hardly believe that my baby girl is 5 already.  I so clearly remember the day she entered the world and straight into my heart.  Well Annie's birthday was celebrated over two days.  Annie had her birthday dinner on the night before her birthday because Daddy had uni on the night of her birthday which means we do no have enough time to have a proper birthday dinner.  Annie chose to have homemade pizza for dinner followed by a homemade ice cream cake for dessert.

Annie the gymnast

Annie has started gymnastics and absolutely loves it.  Mummy thought Annie would have chosen ballet to learn but Annie changed her mind at the last minute.  Every week Annie looks forward to her gymnastics lesson because she gets to do lots of fun stuff like:  the balance beam (Annie's favourite), the uneven bars, the vault, the parallel bars .....  and lots more.

Angelina Ballerina

As part of the girls Christmas present, Mummy and Noonie took the girls to see Angelina Ballerina at QPAC theatre.  It was a very exciting time for the girls because this was the first REAL ballet the girls have seen.  (Mummy hopes it may be the last as I am not too fond of ballet, but Noonie hopes this is the first of many!)  The girls were mesmerised by the whole experience.  Annie imparticular was taken in by the whole performance and Lucy kept asking where Angelina was when she was not on stage.

After the performance Noonie and Mummy took the girls for a special lunch at the Pancake Manor and then for a browse through the bookshop where Noonie spoilt them each with their own ballerina book to help remember the very special girls day out.

Annie's first day of school

Oh how time flies.  I can hardly believe that my baby girl has started school.  Annie was so excited and she had been counting down the sleeps for at least a week.  As Annie is in Prep, the Prepies had a staggered start to the year.  This is when one half of the class start one day (Wed), the next half goes the following day(Thurs), then they all start on the Friday.  Seeing as the boys didn't start until the Thursday, it worked out well as we all were able to focus our attention on Annie.  Annie got herself ready in no time which enabled Mummy so much time to take plenty of photos, and even have photos with Phoebe (our neighbour) who was also starting school.  When Annie arrived at school she met up with her friend Hannah who happened to be in the same class - Prep S.  Mrs Smith is Annie's teacher and she is absolutely lovely.  After doing some puzzles with Mummy and Daddy, Mrs Smith rang her bell and it was then time to say goodbye to all the parents.  Annie did not shed a tear but Mummy can't say that!!  Even Lucy cried the first week Annie went to school and asked why Annie had to stay at school with the boys and why she couldn't come home.  There has definitely been an adjustment period for Mummy and Lucy.

Annie's kindy christmas party

For Annie's christmas concert, the class sang their favourite songs for the mum's and dad's.  They also sang a few christmas carols too.  Annie's all time favourite Kindy song is 'Wash your face with bubblegum'.  Annie thinks that this song is so so funny.

After the mini concert the children had a very special visitor.......

Annie listening to the special visitor...

The visitor of course was Santa Claus.  Santa came to hand our some presents to the kindy children to celebrate a wonderful year they had with Miss Christison and Mrs Ryan.

Santa gave Annie a special gift and a rabbit

Annie's special gift was a book 'I love you always and forever'

Annie had a wonderful night celebrating the end of her kindy year.  Mummy can hardly believe that she is off to school with her brothers!!!

a decision has been made

Annie decided one afternoon it was time for her to ride her bike with only two wheels.  Seeing as her bike still has training wheels on and Daddy was still at work, Mummy got out the boys small bike for Annie to use instead.  So off we went over the road to the path to give it a go.  To Mummy's surprise Annie was up and riding on her very first go!  She did not need much help at all and in 30 mins she could even start herself off without needing to be held or pushed.  This girl is growing up too fast!!!

isn't she beautiful

Annie and Mummy went out one morning for a shop to find her a new summer dress. Annie loves dresses and skirts so when she saw this one she absolutely feel in love with it. So when it came for her prep orientation morning Annie chose to wear her new dress. Prep orientation morning was so much fun for Annie. It is a time for the kids to look through their new classroom, do some activities that they will do next year and meet some children who will be in their class. Mummy and Daddy can hardly believe that the time has nearly come for their next baby to head off to school. (Mummy has tried very hard to convince the kids to do homeschooling but no one wants to take me up on the offer. The boys absolutely love school and Annie can hardly wait to join them!)

gorgeous girls

One morning I found the girls like this:

Annie(4) reading books to Lucy(2.5) in the backyard on a blanket.
Seeing this just made me want to melt and then I stopped to ponder for a moment to realise I have seen this kind of thing before.....
Annie (2yrs) reading to Lucy(4months)
Annie loves reading and Lucy loves being read to.

Annie & Amelie

These two girls just absolutely love each other so when Amelie came over for a play Annie wanted to introduce Amelie to her new favourite thing - Beados. Annie loves doing her Beados and when she is done Annie likes to blu-tak them to her bedroom door so everyone can see her handy work when they walk by.
