For Annie's birthday she received a ticket for Disney On Ice, so we may a girls day of it. The girls absolutely loved watched the dancing and were mesmorised from start to finish. I don't know what they loved more, the Cars characters driving on the ice or Tinkerbell ice dancing. It was such a great day with lots of happy memories. The girls also came home with a special Tinkerbell cup thanks to Noonie.

mummy's photography
Here is a sample of photos I took on the last day of my four week photography course. I learnt how to take photos manually - that is using the ISO, aperture and shutter speed.

Mummy's birthday
What a great day! It was filled with lots of laughter and good times. The day started out with Mummy receiving some great presents and some wonderful homemade cards. I felt so special and loved to have received such precious birthday cards. Once the present opening was over, we all headed into the city by train for what has become our traditional Christmas Eve outing. It all starts off with a train ride into the city to look at the Myer windows, visit Santa and explore Santa land in the Myer Centre. The Myer windows theme this year was from the book series Olivia. The kids favourite window was the one where Olivia's brother threw up his blueberry pie! Once we looked at the windows we headed upstairs to Santa land. This year Matty was too tall to ride the Christmas Express train so instead he was designated photographer because this was the first year Lucy went on the train. Once the kids had their train ride they lined up for the free face painting, so while they were waiting they were able to do some colouring in and also write Santa a letter. Matty chose to write Santa a letter and all it said was "To Santa, I hope you have a Merry Christmas. love Matthew." Some parents were amazed that he did not write a list of toys that he wanted. After we finished at Santa land it was time for some lunch before we got back on the train. Once we arrived home it was then time to get ready for the early Christmas Eve service at church which is followed by the birthday dinner and homemade ice-cream birthday cake made by Noonie and all finished off with one last visit to see Christmas lights. Then once we are all back at home it is time to put out the Santa sacks and get the snacks ready for Santa and his reindeers. It was such a huge day and a day we will definitely do again next year.

A day to remember???
What a great way to start the day.....all the cherubs rushing into Mummy's room shouting "Happy Mother's Day!" and giving me lots of kisses and cuddles. Then they all gave me the presents they had made, bought from the schools Mother's day stall and the gifts they had chosen with Daddy, into the bed with me. Matthew had carefully chosen a water bottle for me that had 'World's Best Mum' written on it from the schools stall with a beautiful hand made card. Benjamin selected a beautiful necklace from the stall and also a very thoughtful and colorful hand made card, Annie and Lucy gave me a card that they had both written their names in (Lucy attempted to write her name and Annie corrected it!) Daddy and the kids also gave me some silicone baking ware (which is fantastic) and an 'Apple slinky machine' because Benjamin said that Mummy really needs one so I could give him apple slinky's for lunch!
finally we all got to have some lunch
After such a lovely time in bed it was time for breakfast. While we were sitting down to breakfast, Daddy was very busy getting our picnic lunch organised. He did everything. From the picnic basket to the chopping of wood for a BBQ lunch to the organising of getting the kids in the car. Then off we set for Mt Glorious. Noonie (who had slept over so she could be with us for the whole of mother's day) decided to read to the kids in the car while we were weaving and winding along the Mailman's Track. This idea in the end turned out to be a wrong one! Once we started to ascend Mt Glorious, Lucy started to look pale, so as Mummy was looking for something for Lucy to hold in case she threw up, BJ said "Mummy I don't ....." and then proceeded to throw up which in turn immediately made Lucy throw up. BJ threw up all over the floor in the back back of the car and Lucy threw up all over herself and her car seat. Daddy pulled over as best as he could on the side of the road but then had to move and find a more safer option up the mountain a little further.
Daddy and Noonie worked very hard to clean up the mess as best as they could with the baby wipes that were in the car and the giant plastic bags left in the car from camping! Mummy just watched over the kids as the smell did not sit well with me. Seeing as Lucy had to take off her clothes and Mummy not having a spare pair in the car for her it was time to head home. Therefore we enjoyed a BBQ lunch at home!
finally we all got to have some lunchAnd that was Mother's Day!

Mummy wont be doing this again!!
Getting out my wisdom teeth that is! Mummy had the unfortunate task of getting out ALL four wisdom teeth. I was very anxious about the whole thing so the lovely oral surgeon thought it best if I was completely asleep for the whole operation and get out all four at once so I did not have to go back again. I think the doctor knew he only had one chance with me so he wanted to get them all out while he could! Daddy took me to the surgery and waited patiently for it to be all over. When I first went in the anaesthetist went through the procedure and asked if I had any comments or questions so I did inform her of my phobia of needles and she reassured me everything would be okay but as we walked into surgery she did say to the surgeon and his assistant that we have "a patient who needs us to talk to her alot". So then both the surgeon and nurse started firing questions at me about family, children... and then the next thing I knew I was being woken up by the nurse to say it was all done. My first thoughts emotions were relief followed by tears while I was saying to myself "it is over, it is over, hold on I don't remember getting the needle." So once I was alert I was allowed to go home.
two days later
two days laterDaddy was fantastic! He cooked, cleaned, made school/kindy lunches, did the school/kindy run, homework, bathing, played lots of uno with the kids AND looked after mummy. It was so nice knowing that everyone and everything was being taken care off. And thanks to Noonie for also helping out on the two days Daddy had to go to work and also on the weekend. You were both so good to me.
This is definitely one experience I will never forget and one that I know I will never have to experience again.

one of the best days of my life...
I love my family. And there is nothing I like better then spending my birthday doing things that make my angels happy. For my last birthday we went for a train ride into the city to look at 'Santa Land', the Myer windows and the BIG christmas tree AND ice cream! Matt had the wonderful idea to take Mummy to Cold Rock in Southbank (as he has only ever seen a cold rock there!) for a birthday ice cream cone. So we decided to make a day off it. So as tradition Noonie joined us for the day. We got an early train into the city so we could beat the crowds at Santa Land. The kids were able to have a ride on the train around 'Santa Land' and they received a special golden ticket in which BJ was not letting go of. We headed down to look at the Myer windows which the kids absolutely loved. There was so much to look at with all the intricate details of North Pole in action. We stopped and had morning tea at the BIG christmas tree (which does not look that big to me anymore!) and the kids thought it was fantastic. Once our tummy's were full it was time to walk across the bridge to Southbank for our ice cream. Matty absolutely loved being the one to instigate this and Daddy gave him the money to pay which just made his grin even bigger. We then went on a ferry ride as this is one of Mummy's favourite things to do. We all really enjoyed sitting on the top deck watching the world go by - or should I say Santa go by on his jet ski! The kids thought this was hilarious. So after a full morning we headed back to the train station for our journey home so we could rest and get ready for a FULL evening. It started out with the Christmas Eve service at church followed by a beautiful homemade Mongolian BBQ with family that Daddy so wonderfully prepared before concluding the night with christmas lights. I had the BEST day ever! I love you all xxxxx
