Disney On Ice

For Annie's birthday she received a ticket for Disney On Ice, so we may a girls day of it.  The girls absolutely loved watched the dancing and were mesmorised from start to finish.  I don't know what they loved more, the Cars characters driving on the ice or Tinkerbell ice dancing.  It was such a great day with lots of happy memories.  The girls also came home with a special Tinkerbell cup thanks to Noonie.

Angelina Ballerina

As part of the girls Christmas present, Mummy and Noonie took the girls to see Angelina Ballerina at QPAC theatre.  It was a very exciting time for the girls because this was the first REAL ballet the girls have seen.  (Mummy hopes it may be the last as I am not too fond of ballet, but Noonie hopes this is the first of many!)  The girls were mesmerised by the whole experience.  Annie imparticular was taken in by the whole performance and Lucy kept asking where Angelina was when she was not on stage.

After the performance Noonie and Mummy took the girls for a special lunch at the Pancake Manor and then for a browse through the bookshop where Noonie spoilt them each with their own ballerina book to help remember the very special girls day out.

beach holiday

While Daddy is away, the rest of us shall play!!  With great thanks to my Mum, the kids and I with Noonie had a beach holiday while Daddy was away.  It was a fantastic week and we all had so much fun.  There was so much swimming, boogie boarding, playing on the playground, eating icecream and some more swimming to be had.  One of the other highlights of the holiday was playing musical beds.  Every one had a turn sleeping with Mummy in the BIG bed and a turn sleeping in the same room as Noonie.  It was tricky keeping up with who sleeps with whom for which night!

Happy 60th Noonie

What a better way to celebrate a very special birthday than by having a very special dinner. For Noonie's birthday we decided to have Noonie's favourite, a beef roast dinner finished off by her favourite dessert apple crumble . We all dressed up a little bit more than usual, decorated the house with home made banners and some balloons and got out the nice china plates. We all wanted Noonie to feel special and loved as this was a very special birthday. The kids each made Noonie a very special card and then had to explain to her the whole process of how they made it and why they chose the colours they did and what picture they drew. Annie and Lucy also helped Mummy make the birthday cake - a love heart shaped cake (Annie's choice) and all the kids helped Noonie blow out all the candles. We had such a great night of fun and laughter.

BUT that was not all... Noonie did not realise that I had organised a surprise morning high tea with some of her wonderful friends. Noonie thought it was only Mummy and the girls taking her out for high tea so when we walked into the tea room she got a HUGE surprise and screamed so loud that she gave the woman beside her a big fright. It was such a lovely morning, something we will have to do again.

Happy Birthday Noonie! we love you so much

baking with Noonie

On the Saturday before Annie's birthday, Annie and Noonie decided to do some special baking. They baked some special small birthday cakes to celebrate Annie's special day. Annie really enjoyed being in the kitchen with Noonie and Lucy really enjoyed the 'licking of the beater' tradition! Even though Lucy didn't help cook, at least she helped to clean up.

Lucy does not like to miss out on the action so when she heard Noonie doing the dishes she ran to the bathroom to get her step and proceeded to tell Noonie to move out of the way so she could give it a go. Lucy absolutely loved washing up. I just it continues!
